The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, were adopted by the 193 United Nations Member States in 2015 as a universal call to action to address poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030.

There are 169 targets within the 17 SDGs which are integrated, indivisible and balance the three dimensions of sustainable development – economical, social and environmental.

Our Impact on the SDGs

SDG 1: No Poverty

End poverty in all its forms everywhere

Implementation

  • Wage advances and financial support to employees in times of need. This was extended to employees whose partners/spouses faced redundancy during the pandemic
  • Reduced service rates for individuals in low income parts of the world
  • Annual human rights awareness training is delivered to those in managerial positions
  • Suppliers must satisfy the requirements of our HSSE Pre-Qualification Assessment and Supplier Code of Conduct which incorporates human rights, wages and labour rights
