Women in the Security & Risk Sector

Home / Careers / Women in the Security & Risk Sector

Security risk management, and more so the operational security environment has unfortunately long been a predominantly male-dominated sector.

We have long been advocating for more female representation within the security and risk sector. The industry has a long way to go but progression is clearly evident with more females now operating within the industry and we continue to identify gaps, implement positive change and drive gender equality within the workplace.

Women’s Empowerment Principles

Established by UN Women and the UN Global Compact and, the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) are a set of Principles offering guidance to business on how to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment in the workplace, marketplace and community.

The WEPs are informed by international labour and human rights standards and grounded in the recognition that businesses have a stake in, and a responsibility for, gender equality and women’s empowerment.

By joining the WEPs community, Bradburys Global Risk Group signals its public commitment to this agenda and pledge to work collaboratively in multi-stakeholder networks to foster business practices that empower women including equal pay for work of equal value, gender-responsive supply chain practices and zero tolerance against sexual harassment in the workplace.
