What is the Alcumus SafeContractor Scheme?
Alcumus SafeContractor is a third-party accreditation scheme that assesses the health and safety arrangements, policies and qualifications of contractors. The scheme recognises rigorous standards in health and safety management amongst contractors who undergo an audit process which examines health and safety procedures and their track record for safe practice.

The SafeContractor accreditation was achieved following a robust and lengthy assessment of our health and safety documentation, policies and procedures and compared against the SafeContractor Charter Standards which set out the health and safety standards required to achieve accreditation.

The company’s application for SafeContractor accreditation was driven by the need for a uniform standard across the business. SafeContractor accreditation will enhance the company’s ability to win new contracts, and its commitment to safety will be viewed positively by its insurers when the company liability policy is up for renewal.
